Schlongs of Skyrim SE is a SSE port of Schlongs of Skyrim by VectorPlexus, Smurf and b3lisario. All credit goes to the original mod authors. Requirements: Skyrim SE v1.5.97 SKSE64 v2.0.17 SkyUI v5.2SE + XPMSSE v4.51 + (optional but highly recommended) Troubleshooting: Installation/updating/uninstalling is identical with the original mod.

I'd suggest them to buy a month of premium (for automatic + fast downloads). Then go through the Skyrim SE/AE lists and pick one that's suited to them. Do they like super realistic, needs, survival gameplay? Or do they want a kitchen sink type modlist where loads of mods are installed. Could even install both lists if they want.

For Skyrim-faithful modlists, I recommend: Legends of the Frost (probably the best for a vanilla+, true Skyrim playthrough. Lots of creation club content but no major changes to quests or gameplay mechanics.) Nordic Souls (well-loved and stable list. I believe it has the full Simonrim suite. Still true to Skyrim but more extra content if you want it) Keizaal is a less popular but still good ...

The Anniversary Edition is the Special Edition with the CC content installed. Both editions share the same game and is pre-loaded with the same dlcs. The only difference is the CC content. If playing on next gen console, there is a next gen update that is free. This basically makes the game run a little smoother than the on the previous gen.
