My bath experience was in a common area, women only and all of the attendants were female. Most women were just lying on the marble visiting with friends so I didn't find it uncomfortable. The massage was in a separate area but there were five massage tables in the room.
Is it possible to enter the Hamam for a few minutes to do some photography of the architecture (central dome for men) without actually getting a bath there? Would I need to pay anything for this? What would be the cheapest option to get an entry anyway?

If you get an initial “no” simply offer some money - in this environment tips will buy a lot which is impossible when there is no compensation.

So, don't kick it out! BTW, it seems me that the omission of a steam room and sweating is quite risky: your skin should be prepared for the what following (pilling, scrubbing, massage etc.)
