Like many of the forestry commission recreation sites the bolder wood is designed as an access for all site . The access to the deer platform is down a slope which is fine going down but not so easy to get back up. As long as you have a certain amount of assistance with you it should be achievable.
Q:

A:
I don't think so, it did appear to be in the middle of the forest, perhaps you can call the tourist board, they may be able to advise you.
Q:
Can you bring horses here?
