The Welsh actor and his wife owned two houses in the Palisades, both of which were destroyed by the blazes, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Hopkins splits his time between the U.S. and his native U.K. In an Instagram post on Dec. 8, the two-time Oscar winner spent the holidays in "jolly old England." He captioned the video, “Home sweet home for the holidays.”

The Welsh actor was among the many people who lost homes in the wildfires that ignited earlier this week. Hopkins, 87, had two homes in Los Angeles’ Pacific Palisades neighborhood, both of which were destroyed in the Palisades Fire, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

In an Instagram post on Friday, Sir Anthony issued a heartfelt statement to his 5.4 million followers, writing: "As we all struggle to heal from the devastation of these fires, it's important we remember that the only thing we take with us is the love we give," reports the Mirror.
