Austin FC has landed Brandon Vazquez in a club-record transfer from Monterrey. The U.S. men's national team striker returns to MLS just one year after leaving FC Cincinnati to join the Liga MX side. GiveMeSport reported that Austin FC paid $10 million to land the 26-year-old, meaning Monterrey made a profit after paying $7.5 million one year ago.

In what at first glance appears to be a major get for the club, Austin FC signed forward Brandon Vazquez from Mexican side C.F. Monterrey for a club-record transfer fee to a four-year deal through 2028, it announced Monday. The amount of the transfer fee was not disclosed.
