A new winter storm has millions of people from the Upper Midwest to the mid-Atlantic and Northeast preparing for dangerous winds and potential blizzard or near-blizzard conditions.

It’s worth bundling up before heading out the door today as the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) is set to see strong winds that will make it feel frigid.

All schools were closed across Bruce, Grey, Huron and Perth Counties due to blizzard like conditions across the region. Several roads were closed, events were cancelled, even snowplows were pulled off the roads near Kincardine, due to the onslaught of snow.

Environment Canada is warning that snow squalls and blizzards in places north and west of the Greater Toronto Area could make travel "nearly impossible" at times in the next couple of days.
