A stunning crash in Piedmont that killed three college students, leaving a fourth with severe injuries, has triggered deep suspicion of the vehicle involved: a Tesla Cybertruck, the electric pickup with a space-age look — and a history of engineering mishaps.

The City of Piedmont has revealed the identities of three victims of the tragic Tesla Cybertruck accident that happened on November 27, just after 3.00 am on Hampton Road.

The Piedmont High School graduates were killed when the truck they were driving crashed at Hampton Road between Sea View and King avenues about 3 a.m. Wednesday. The truck caught fire after the crash and one person, who has not been identified, was pulled by a passerby and taken to a hospital.
