Marvel fans still have endless questions about Steve Rogers's return in Avengers: Doomsday. Not the least of these include what might have taken place in his universe between the events of Endgame and Doomsday.

In a post on Instagram, the Russo brothers, who directed both Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame, issued a statement on Steve Rogers' return: "the character that changed our lives. The story that brought us all here together. It was always going to come back to this…"

Steve can be seen putting away his Captain America suit, and the very end of the teaser states that “Steve Rogers will return in Avengers: Doomsday,” but doesn’t say that Captain America will. That’s perhaps a relatively minor semantics issue,

The bill was backed by Florida Republican Sens. Rick Scott and Ashley Moody, and by GOP Rep. Carlos Gimenez and Democratic Rep. Darren Soto. Shortly before it passed the House in July, Gimenez said the bill was "about fairness and conservation."

Disney's first trailer for the December 2026 blockbuster — which first leaked online earlier this week — has now been officially released in theaters alongside the first showings of Avatar: Fire and Ash. And with this, Evans' return is now set in stone.

Chris Evans is set to return as Captain America. The teaser hints at a major callback to Avengers: Endgame. The film is scheduled for release on December 18, 2026.

The identity of this child is unknown to us as of now, but it could be Nick or Rick, the son of Steve and Peggy Carter, from a few scattered stories from Marvel comics.
