MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - The rain clears, but cooler weather arrives to end the work week. The rain and clouds clear overnight, giving way to sunny skies on Friday. Despite full sunshine, temperatures turn much cooler behind the cold front. Afternoon highs only climb into the lower 50s on Friday.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. Temperatures rose from 25 degrees at 9pm last night to 40 degrees early this morning, which is being accompanied by rain and wind ahead of a cold front. Once that cold front passes, the wind will continue with gusts up to 35 MPH,

Our WVLT First Alert Weather Days continue as we head into Wednesday as we are tracking a second round of heavy rain arriving for the afternoon commute. With an already saturated ground, additional rain could cause runoffs and lead to flooding concerns.

However, given the already saturated ground in flood-prone areas, the WYMT First Alert Weather Team has extended the First Alert Weather Day into Wednesday and Thursday morning to monitor the progression of rain from the second system.
