Concussion substitute Harshit Rana has taken 3-33 on debut and India has beaten England by 15 runs to win the Twenty20 series with a match to spare in Pune.

India won the fourth T20I against England at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on Friday, January 31, by 15 runs to take an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match series. and Harshit Rana were two of the star performers for India in the pulsating clash.

Former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen extended support to Harshit Rana after his concussion substitute controversy during the fourth T20I against England in Pune.

England will realise that they were undone more by spinners and acknowledge within the group, if not publicly, that Rana for Dube wasn’t as much of a problem.

In the fourth T20I against England, Harshit Rana replaced Shivam Dube as a concussion substitute after Dube suffered a blow on the helmet. Despite controversies, India's bowling coach Morne Morkel clarified that the match referee approved Rana’s inclusion.

England captain Jos Buttler said Harshit Rana was not a like-for-like replacement for Shivam Dube in the fourth T20I of the five-match series in Pune.
