The leader of South Korea's ruling People Power Party says he is now in favor of impeaching President Yoon Suk Yeol over his short-lived declaration of martial law.

In a defiant televised address, President Yoon argued his martial-law decree was an act of governance. The South Korean leader is under investigation for a variety of charges, including insurrection.
