A winter storm brought the Lehigh Valley its biggest snowfall of the winter so far before temperatures become dangerously cold.

The winter storm expected to dump 6 to 8 inches of heavy snow remains on track to hit the Lehigh Valley on Sunday, according to the latest forecast update from the National Weather Service. Higher snow totals, however, have expanded to south of the region and weather will almost certainly play a role in today’s big Eagles game at 3 p.m.

The National Weather Service says the mid-Hudson Valley region, including Poughkeepsie and Middletown, is under a winter storm watch.
