Charlie McAvoy will be out week-to-week after suffering an injury during the round robin of the 4 Nations Face-Off — and the Boston Bruins are reportedly not at all happy with how it was handled, Sportsnet hockey insider Elliotte Friedman reported on Wednesday.

Charlie McAvoy, who suffered a significant AC joint injury and is dealing with an infection in his right shoulder, won’t play in Boston’s first game back from the NHL 4 Nations Face-Off. The defenseman was injured during Team USA’s first game against Team Finland, and remains at Massachusetts General Hospital.

As well as an infection, Bruins say Charlie McAvoy suffered a “significant injury” to the AC joint in his right shoulder.
