A series of outages plagued various websites, services, and platforms throughout the week, ultimately affecting productivity for users around the globe.

Google, OpenAI, Spotify, Amazon Web Services and OpenAI were all down on Thursday after a wide-spread tech outage. Tens of thousands of users reported issues on Downdector.com, a website that tracks outages. A large number of sites appear to be impacted, with reports ticking up in the tens of thousands around 2 p.m EST.

Spotify, Discord, Snapchat, Etsy, UPS and OpenAI all experienced a high volume of reports on DownDetector, with some informing users of disruptions. Even the Pokemon Trading Card Game and Pokemon Go weren't spared issues.

OpenAI said it will continue working with Scale AI after Meta Platforms Inc. made a multibillion-dollar investment in the startup, as it seeks to maintain a broad ecosystem of data sources.
