Last week, the ICC reached a consensus to conduct the eight-team competition in a hybrid model, allowing India to play its share of matches in Dubai while agreeing "in principle" to a similar arrangement in multi-lateral events till 2027.

According to a report in news agency PTI, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is ready to accept to the hybrid model for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy and play India in Dubai, but on one condition. This is only if the International Cricket Council (ICC) implements the same policy for every global event till 2031.
