Sarah Ferguson has revealed that having cancer was like a “bomb going off” in her life during a recent interview with The Times. The duchess, 65, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2023 and underwent a single mastectomy. As she was recovering, she was then diagnosed with cancer again.

Ferguson announced in June 2023 that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer following a routine mammogram. She later underwent a mastectomy and reconstructive surgery. Just six months later, in January 2024, the duchess announced she was diagnosed with malignant melanoma, a type of skin cancer.
