Nathan, a co-founder of the sports website Defector Media, has published “ Changeover: A Young Rivalry and a New Era of Men’s Tennis ” with Gallery Books. He spent the 2024 season squarely focused on Sinner and Alcaraz, in which they split the four majors and accelerated their ascension into a tennis stratosphere of their own creation.

Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz continue their rivalry on Monday afternoon, when they face off in the Cincinnati Open finals at 3 p.m. ET.

Sinner turned 24 years old on Saturday, while Alcaraz is 22. All of this is to say it’s not a surprise that top-ranked Sinner and Alcaraz are meeting in the finals of the 2025 Cincinnati Masters, one of the biggest non-Grand Slams on the tennis calendar and the warmup event for the U.S. Open.

Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner are set to face each other in the final of the Cincinnati Masters 1000 on Monday. This will be their 14th meeting on the ATP Tour.
