Meteorologists are monitoring a storm system that could unleash tornadoes across the Deep South and Southeast early next week. Areas from East Texas to the Mid-Mississippi Valley will be at risk on Tuesday,

Next week will include the first days of meteorological spring, and right on schedule there will be a chance for severe weather in Alabama. The National Weather Service said damaging winds and tornadoes will be possible with a line of storms expected to move across the state from Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.

A storm system is expected to produce severe thunderstorms, tornadoes and damaging wind gusts up to 70 mph next week.
