In place of the NHL’s hit-or-miss All-Star Weekend, the league and the NHLPA have teamed up to put on the 4 Nations Face-Off in February 2025. The round robin tournament will include NHL players from four countries — the United States, Canada, Sweden and Finland — and will be played in both Boston and Montreal across the seven-game slate.

The 4 Nations Face-Off will be held from Feb. 12-20 at Bell Centre in Montreal and at TD Garden in Boston. Each of the four countries competing -- Finland, Sweden, Canada and the United States -- will have a 23-man roster that includes 13 forwards, seven defenseman and three goalies, all of whom play in the NHL.

Games will be held in two separate venues — Bell Centre in Montreal and TD Garden in Boston. Teams will be teeming with NHL talent, with former Hart Memorial Trophy winners Sidney Crosby, Connor McDavid, Nathan McKinnon and Auston Matthews all tipped to join.

Ducks center Leo Carlsson has been named to Sweden’s roster for the 2025 4 Nations Face-Off taking place in Montreal and Boston from Feb. 12-20. Carlsson will be the youngest player to represent Sweden in the tournament.

New Jersey Devils forward Jesper Bratt and goaltender Jacob Markstrom have been projected to make Sweden's final roster. The 26-year-old winger has 35 points (12 goals, 23 assists) in 28 games. New Jersey's netminder has 12 wins this season, tied for the third most among goaltenders.
