BOSTON, June 17. -- Financial circles took their customary holiday Bunker Hill Day. The Stock Exchange was closed, and the banks, under a mutual agreement, also gave their employes a holiday.

The third oldest stock exchange in the United States being founded in 1834. Now known as NASDAQ OMX BX, it was previously known as BSE. NASDAQ OMX acquired the BSE in 2007.
