Chief Data Officer Charles Borges said sensitive data was uploaded to a digital cloud, risking the security of critical personal information for more than 300 million people.

DOGE has created "a live copy of the entire country’s Social Security information," a Social Security official says in a whistleblower complaint.

The Social Security Administration said it is "not aware of any compromise" to the server and "remains dedicated to protecting sensitive personal data."
