NOTTINGHAM, England (AP) — England inflicted India's biggest ever T20 loss, beating the reigning world champion and its teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi by 125 runs to move 2-0 ahead in their five-match series on Tuesday.
A sloppy India never looked capable of posing even the slightest of challenges to England throughout the match as Harry Brook and Phil Salt helped the hosts saunter over the finish line.
The match was called off as rain stopped play after the end of the innings. Earlier, India won the toss and chose to bat first at the Chester-Le-Street Ground in Durham. They posted 189 on the board with half-centuries from Abhishek Sharma and Shreyas Iyer and a quick-fire knock from Shivam Dube.
