OCALA, Florida (CNN) -- Actor Wesley Snipes was sentenced Thursday to three years in prison for three misdemeanor counts of failing to file tax returns -- the maximum requested by federal prosecutors.

Actor Wesley Snipes is still in big trouble. The U.S. Court of Appeals in Atlanta has refused to overturn his conviction and three year prison term for tax evasion, Courthouse News Service reported.
