As Thomas Frank’s departure from Brentford begins to look increasingly inevitable, club chiefs are now focusing on his successor. The Dane has reportedly agreed a deal to join Tottenham Hotspur, ending his seven-year tenure, which had seen him cement cult hero status among Bees fans.

Tottenham have reached an agreement with Brentford to make Thomas Frank their next head coach, the PA news agency understands. Spurs quickly set their sights on Frank after Ange Postecoglou was sacked last week – only 16 days after he secured Europa League success – and made an official approach to Brentford on Monday.

Brentford want to appoint Justin Cochrane as their next manager, but Thomas Frank is keen to bring him to Tottenham Hotspur.
