After nearly a year away from an NHL rink with injuries and some time in the Player Assistance Program, Patrik Laine scored a huge goal in his debut with the Montreal Canadiens. Multiple long-term injuries and some time in the Player Assistance Program held the newest Canadiens forward away from an NHL lineup for 355 days.

Laine returned from injury to take part in his first game of the season and shared what he needed to do in order to be ready for his debut with the Canadiens.

Patrik Laine will make his long-awaited regular-season debut with the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday after missing the past two months with a knee injury. Montreal made the roster move official by removing Laine from long-term injured reserve.
