Met Éireann have issued further weather warnings as Storm Bert continues to batter the country. A Status Red rain warning for Galway and Cork ceased on Saturday morning, however, all of the Republic of Ireland remains under a yellow warning. The forecaster has now issued further warnings from Sunday.

A separate status yellow warning has been issued by the UK Met Office for Northern Ireland for the period from midnight until 11am on Saturday. “Storm Bert will bring a spell of rain, preceded by snow in places, on Friday night into Saturday which may cause some disruption,” it states.
