Rohit Sharma is set to play in the Ranji Trophy after 17 years, becoming the first Indian Test captain since Anil Kumble in 2007 to feature in a domestic game.

From Rohit Sharma to Rishabh Pant and Virat Kohli and Mohammed Siraj in the next round, several players who were part of India’s recent tour to Australia will turn out in the premier domestic tournament.

Notably, Rohit last played in the Ranji Trophy back in 2015. His recent outing on India's Test tour of Australia was disappointing as he managed just 31 runs across five innings, following which he stepped down from the XI for the final Test in Sydney.
