The Cleveland baseball legend has passed away at age 91. In 1960, Cleveland GM “Frantic” Frank Lane traded the slugger to Detroit. It was the most infamous deal in Cleveland baseball history and plunged the club into more than 30 years of losing.

After he was traded in one of the most infamous deals in Cleveland’s history, the team floundered and “the curse of Rocky Colavito” was born.
