Cortland Sutton isn’t leaving Denver anytime soon. The standout wide receiver agreed to a four-year, $92 million extension with the Broncos on Monday, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, which positions the 29-year-old to be the team’s WR1 for the foreseeable future.
Sutton originally entered the league with the Broncos as a second-round draft pick out of SMU in 2018. The eighth-year receiver has hauled in 379 receptions for 5,340 yards and 32 touchdowns in 98 career games, including 81 catches for 1,081 yards and eight touchdowns playing with quarterback Bo Nix last fall.
The Broncos have a young running back stable, with the sixth-year J.K. Dobbins currently atop the depth chart. The veteran is followed by rookie second-round RJ Harvey, and incumbents Audric Estime, Jaleel McLaughlin, Tyler Badie, and Blake Watson.
