Texans have less than a month before clocks spring forward and we lose an hour of sleep. At 2 a.m. on March 9, daylight saving time will begin and last until Nov. 2. The annual winding of the clocks starts on the second Sunday in March and ends on the first Sunday in November.

Daylight Saving Time will begin in just a few weeks, meaning we only have a limited amount of time to enjoy that extra hour of sleep before we jump ahead. According to the Old Farmer's Almanac, the practice of moving the clocks forward one hour from Standard Time during the summer months allows for better use of natural daylight.
