Las Vegas Metropolitan Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred early Tuesday morning in the south valley.

An armed man holding a young child hostage fired his weapon while pointing it at the child as Las Vegas police shot him early Tuesday, leaving both dead in what police say began as a domestic violence call in southeast Las Vegas.
