Bill Hennessy, a talented courtroom sketch artist who captured drawings of some of the most consequential legal proceedings of the last 40 years, has died at the age of 67.

William Hennessy, Jr., a classically trained artist and SCOTUSblog contributor who chronicled oral arguments at the Supreme Court and legal proceedings around the country for decades, died on Tuesday.

Known as one of the most prolific courtroom artists in the country, Hennessy captured every nuance that played out before lawyers, judges, and juries.
