An ESPN tweet suggested the possibility Trey Smith would be tagged but the Bears need to be ready for that or for losing out on a bidding war for the guard.
Trey Smith has been frequently linked to the Chicago Bears as a potential top target in 2025 NFL free agency over the past few months of the offseason. The 25-year-old right guard is coming off a strong season for the Kansas City Chiefs in which he allowed zero sacks on more than 700 pass-blocking snaps and further established his reputation as a physically imposing run-blocker.
