After the Chiefs beat the Pittsburgh Steelers on Wednesday to lock up the top overall seed over the Buffalo Bills and a first-round bye in the playoffs, Mahomes explained that he wanted to do it for his pregnant wife. Apparently, Brittany Mahomes is due soon, so Patrick wanted to secure the extra time off so they could deliver the baby together.

Mahomes was magnificent on Christmas, completing 29 of 38 passes for 320 yards and three touchdowns. Travis Kelce (eight catches for 84 yards) and Xavier Worthy (eight catches for 79 yards) both had massive games, including a receiving touchdown each.
