Voters across Washington will decide nearly 3,000 races in Tuesday’s election. These include contests for city, county, school, fire district and court of appeals positions, along with one statewide ballot measure.
Go to the state’s voting information site at votewa.gov. Enter your name and birthdate. On the left side, you should see an option to check “Ballot Status.” Click on that, and it should tell you where your ballot is.
With Election Day coming up on Nov. 4, 2025, voters across the United States should visit their local city or county election office to access a sample ballot.

The South Washington County school district covers all or parts of Cottage Grove, Newport, St. Paul Park, Woodbury, Afton, Denmark and Grey Cloud Island Townships. Also in Washington County, two cities will hold municipal elections in November: Mahtomedi and St. Paul Park. Most other cities hold elections in even years.
Two legislative districts in Washington, 5 and 26, are on the ballot for this year's general election in Washington.
The AP will provide vote results and declare winners in the Minneapolis mayoral race and in the two state Senate special elections. Municipal elections will be held for local offices across the state, such as the Minneapolis City Council, St. Paul mayor and Duluth School Board, but those contests will not be included in AP’s vote tabulation.
