Coldplay is two albums away from retirement, but they’re staying busy until then. The Music Of The Spheres World Tour was recently named the most-attended tour of all-time, and singer Chris Martin is working with FIFA to curate the first Super Bowl-style halftime show at the World Cup final at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium next year.

It sounds like Chris Martin of Coldplay could play a pivotal role in FIFA’s 2026 World Cup halftime show. According to FIFA president Gianni Infantino, Martin and Phil Harvey — who have worked together as a part of Coldplay — are helping find artists to perform the first World Cup halftime show in 2026.

Coldplay released their latest LP Moon Music and Chris Martin said the band wouldn’t be making that many more albums. Now, the frontman is working alongside FIFA to help curate the first ever halftime show at the World Cup final next year.
