Joseph Woll stopped 45 shots, Matthew Knies and Mitch Marner each had a goal and an assist and the Toronto Maple Leafs survived a frantic finish to beat the Edmonton Oilers 4-3 on Saturday night.

The Oilers buried themselves a hole after allowing three goals to the Maple Leafs in the first period of an eventual 4-3 loss.

Mitch Marner, who will represent Canada in the upcoming 4 Nations Face-Off, made it 4-1 just 18 seconds into the third period, taking a drop pass from Matthews on the rush and deking towards the net before having the puck deflect off him and through Skinner's pads.
