Hindu monk Chinmoy Krishna Das, a Bangladesh Sammilit Sanatan Jagran Jote spokesperson, was arrested this month. Member of his outfit also says lawyers representing Das are being targeted.

The advisory came after a spate of attacks on minorities including on the Hindu community in Bangladesh in the last few months

A Bangladeshi advocate Ramen Roy, who purportedly defended arrested Hindu monk Chinmoy Das, was allegedly attacked and is in critical condition.

Chinmoy Krishna Das, who served as a spokesperson for the Bangladesh Sammilita Sanatani Jagran Jote, was arrested at Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Monday while travelling to Chattogram for a rally.
