According to Dave McMenamin of ESPN, the Los Angeles Lakers backed out of the Mark Williams trade because they “couldn’t live with what they saw.”

Mark Williams' failed physical was reportedly not the only reason the Lakers called off their attempted trade for the young and promising center.

The Hornets and the Lakers had a deal completed on February 9th, which sent Mark Williams to the L.A. and Dalton Knecht, Cam Reddish, a 2031 first-round pick, and a 2030 first-round pick swap to Charlotte.
