Wicked star Marissa Bode has criticised those who have joked about the disability of her character, Nessarose.

She plays Elphaba's favored sister Nessarose and recently, she took to TikTok to call out the "deeply uncomfortable" jokes people have been making about Nessa's disability. For context, Nessarose uses a wheelchair in Wicked. Marissa also uses a wheelchair in real life after a traffic accident at age 11 left her paralyzed from the waist down.
