The UK Energy Research Council has warned of the multibillion-pound costs as the gas network goes into decline.

A net balance of 19 of professionals predict an increase in sales activity over the next three months, the report said.

The regulator is also proposing new standards for suppliers to make it easier for customers who are struggling to pay their bills to get support.
