A MAN was allegedly caught carrying a knife after shouting and swearing in Ayr. Piotr Czerniec faces charges of threatening or abusive behaviour and possession of a blade on the town's Main Street.

A FORMER pub in Ayr could be turned into a takeaway if plans get the green light. The proposal would see the Wee Man's public house at 31 Green Street transformed into a hot food takeaway.
