But each year, Stroll on State organizers also add new attractions, and this year is no exception. Stroll on State, Rockford's kickoff to the holiday season, is from 2 to 9 p.m. Saturday.

According to the Stroll on State website, 324 ornaments were used last year to decorate for Stroll on State, an event supported by 31,42 volunteer hours and attended by 62,500 people.

The decoration days for Stroll on State will be Nov. 17-18. That is when there is a need for a lot of volunteers to help pout out giftboxes, light trees, and decorate the entire downtown of Rockford.
