Tri-Union Seafoods initiated a voluntary recall of canned tuna products sold across the United States under several labels — including Trader Joe's, Genova, H-E-B, and Van Camp's. Here's everything to know.

The company said that the easy-pull can lid “encountered a manufacturing defect that may compromise the integrity of the product seal (especially over time), causing it to leak or worse, be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum, a potentially fatal form of food poisoning.”

The products sold under the Genova, Van Camp’s, H-E-B and Trader Joe’s brand names are impacted by the recall, which Tri-Union Seafoods said is being issued "out of an abundance of caution" following a manufacturing defect.
