Austin Police Department Chief Lisa Davis said that between three and five people were shot in the Target parking lot.

Ethan Nieneker faces capital murder charges for allegedly shooting three people, including a 4-year-old girl, during a carjacking at an Austin Target store.

In the Wednesday update, police said the Target employee's name was Rosa Machuca. The clarification came after community members who knew Machuca stressed that she identified as a woman and didn't go by the name previously released by APD.
