There's good news and bad news regarding Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley's pursuit of the NFL single-season rushing record. The bad news is that after Sunday's 65-yard performance against the stingy Pittsburgh Steelers defense, Barkley fell off pace in catching Eric Dickerson's record of 2,105 yards set in 1984.

In case you haven't been watching Philadelphia Eagles games all season, Saquon Barkley is pretty good, and he's having an incredible season. Barkley has already broken the Eagles' single-season rushing record with four games to play, and he might also break the NFL's single-season rushing record, which has been in place since 1984.

Eagles RB Saquon Barkley returned to action Sunday against the Steelers, but he wouldn't disclose what led to his exit in the game.

It was his second lowest total of the season. The Browns held him to 47 yards on Oct. 13. Barkley missed most of the second quarter after being injured but he returned in the third quarter.
