Rookie right-hander Brandon Young lost his bid for a perfect game with two outs in the eighth inning yet secured his first career victory as the visiting Baltimore Orioles rode home runs from Coby Mayo and Dylan Carlson to a 7-0 win over the Houston Astros on Friday.

Lumberton native Brandon Young's bid for a perfect game was broken up by an infield single with two outs in the eighth inning.

Young retired the first 23 batters he faced, only to have his shot at club history end on slow grounder to the third base side by Houston second baseman Ramon Urìas.
