The Detroit Pistons fought for another signature win in gritty fashion by defeating the Atlanta Hawks on Monday night.

Off a strong night in the post with Jalen Duren scoring a team-high 21 points and the Pistons (17-4) out-rebounding the Hawks 60-34, Detroit came away with the 99-98 win Monday night at Little Caesars Arena.

Jalen Duren posted a double-double and Cade Cunningham produced in the 4th quarter again as the Pistons rallied past the Hawks.

Jalen Johnson led the way for the Hawks in Sunday’s victory as he ended the game with 41 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists while Nickeil Alexander-Walker recorded 34 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.

Though their efforts will be marked in the loss column, the Hawks say they hang their hats on their fight and will learn from Monday night’s missteps.

Cade Cunningham and the Pistons have been in some close games as of late, and they emerge as the winner yet again.

The Detroit Pistons got back on the winning track Saturday, though it got scary at the end. They'll look to build off that performance when they host the Atlanta Hawks on Monday night.
