A Mega Millions ticket sold in Washington just missed the $233 million jackpot but won $1 million, lottery officials said. The ticket matched five winning numbers but not the Mega Ball in the drawing Friday, March 7, the Washington Lottery said.

No one won the jackpot in Friday's drawing, however two people matched five numbers to win $1 million –one also matched the Megaplier to boost their winnings to $3 million. As a result, the jackpot has risen to $256 million for Tuesday's drawing.
