US-Russian Soyuz crew launches to the International Space Station on Thanksgiving Day
Sergey Kud-Sverchkov and Sergei Mikaev of Roscosmos and Chris Williams of NASA — launched for the ISS from the Baikonur Cosmodrome on Nov. 27, 2025, Thanksgiving Day.
A Soyuz-2-1a rocket carrying the NASA astronaut and two cosmonauts will launch the Soyuz MS-28 mission from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, about 1,300 miles (2,100 km) southeast of Moscow on Thursday.
Astronauts will enjoy traditional Thanksgiving dishes with a few treats included by food scientists back on the groud.
