Wall Street is muted on Friday, with the major averages looking for clear direction as investors digest the previous session’s record-setting finishes for the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite. The blue-chip Dow (DJI) hovers near even as it conitues to eye its own record high.

The S&P increased by more than 0.6% on Monday afternoon to a record intraday high of 6,336, while the Nasdaq rose up to nearly 0.8% to an intraday record of 21,077 before both indexes pared gains back slightly.

A muted start was seen at the Wall Street on Tuesday, following the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite's fresh records a day earlier. The S&P 500 was trading marginally lower at 6,302.95 within minutes of the market's opening,
